The Chateau St. Jean Syrah 2011 is a red wine with rich, elegant personality. Produced from grapes grown on the Benoist Ranch on the Sonoma Coast, this Syrah has plenty of concentrated red raspberry and blackberry jam flavor. On the nose, aromas of fresh blackberry and mocha mingle with warm pie spice. On the palate, ripe black fruit, black tea, and pepper flavors combine for a plush mouthfeel. The wine is dense, structured, and has smooth tannins that combine with juicy fruit textures and a lengthy finish.
