The Patland Syrah 2013 is a rich red wine that is full of dark berry and rich floral flavors. The wine is deep garnet in the glass, and aromas of blackberry, violets, orange peel, anise, white pepper, soy sauce, toffee, dark chocolate, jasmine, and caramelized new French oak leap to the nose. These deep aromas complement the lush and full palate. Layered flavors of blueberry, boysenberry, sage, bacon fat, integrated toasty oak, and baker’s chocolate abound. The balance is persistent and elegant, with pure and intense flavor.
