The St. Francis Old Vines Zinfandel 2013 is a red wine of surpassing flavor and quality. The “Old Vines” hail from Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma Valley, Russian River Valley, and Alexander Valley. The vines range in age from 55 to more than 100 years old and produce low yields of intensely flavorful grapes. The resulting Zinfandel brims with aromas of boysenberry, clove, and cinnamon. Flavors of mixed berries, red licorice, tobacco leaf, and mulling spices abound on the long, luxurious finish. This wine has excellent structure and a concentrated flavor.
