Mumm Napa Wines
History
Mumm Napa continues to honor its past by forging ahead with traditional values grown with our classic techniques. Its roots can be traced back to G.H. Mumm, the leading international Champagne brand in France. Established in California in the late 1970s, Mumm Napa follows the traditional winemaking techniques of its French heritage to create the finest, hand-crafted sparkling wines. Our dedication to quality has been rewarded with accolades and awards over the decades.
Vineyards
Mumm Napa has been sourcing grapes from Devaux Ranch Vineyard in the Carneros Region of Napa Valley since 1991. Located on the southern tip of Napa in the Carneros AVA, the 110-acre vineyard is planted with the same three varieties that make French Champagne: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier. Considered by many one of the most beautiful vineyards in Napa Valley, this estate-grown site is named after Mumm Napa's founding winemaker, Guy Devaux. Guy was a pioneer of Méthode Traditionnelle sparkling wines, and Devaux Ranch is symbolic for creating his ultimate Brut, a blend of 58% Pinot Noir, 28% Chardonnay, 8% Pinot Meunier, and 6% Pinot Gris. Rich soil, strong vines, and distinct grape varieties are the definition of a great terroir, and Devaux Ranch is how Mumm crafts high-quality sparkling wines.
