The Zaca Mesa Black Bear Block Syrah 2012 is a robust red wine that is full of fruit and savory notes. Aromas and flavors of blackberry, violet florals, tar, tapenade, cassis, and pepper combine in rich layers. This wine is elegant and full-bodied, with silky tannins and a persistent finish.
This rich red wine is made from Zaca Mesa’s Black Bear Block, first planted in 1978 and named for the black bears living near the vineyard. It is now the oldest remaining Syrah vineyard on the central coast.
