The Colgin Cariad Red 2006 is a muscular, nearly beefy, red wine, with impressive layers of fruit and savory flavor. The nose shows succulent aromas of grilled steak juice, roasted coffee grounds, and tar. With a little air, ethereal aromas of wet loamy earth, spiced coffee cake, and crushed rock waft to the nose. The palate is bold and mouthcoating, with velvety tannins.
