Well drained, sandy Goldridge soil with wonderful natural acidity and low pH sets the stage for the MacPhail Pratt Vineyard Chardonnay 2013. Aromas of white peach and lemon curd mingle with citrus blossoms, gardenias, and romantic white rose petal. "Bright, lively acidity blends with oak that hides a bit and is subtle, but insistent. Flavors of white peach and not-so-puckery grapefruit are framed in a medium-bodied white wine that is flat out refreshing. The ABC crowd meets its match here. She’s a head turner."
