"The Anam Cara Reserve Chardonnay 2012 is fermented in two new French oak barrels and eight neutral oak barrels. The wines were left on the lees and stirred weekly for four before settling for a further four months, and bottled in September.
The outcome is classic cool climate Oregon Chardonnay, softened by the oak but remaining clear with hints of mineral and flint. The wine is smooth and elegant with great texture and medium body. Aromas of honeysuckle and Meyer lemons mingle with a palate of mellow pears and honeycomb. Suggested pairings include lobster, scallops, fresh crab, corn chowder, mushroom risotto."
