The Rombauer Vineyards Zinfandel 2013 is a beautiful combination of fruit and spice aromas and flavors. The grapes for this wine enjoyed a long, warm growing season and even ripening. After being hand harvested at night, they were carefully basket-pressed and put up in oak barrels. The wine is deep purple-red in the glass and smells like raspberry, cranberry, licorice, and spice. The luxurious palate is full of vibrant fruit, with notes of cherry, vanilla, blackberry, and spice. The tannins are very fine, and the finish is long.
