The Steele Santa Barbara Pinot Noir 2012 is a lovely, lush Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara County. Aromas of perfumed strawberries abound on the nose. Notes of dried cherries and wild berries mingle on the palate with floral accents and warm spice. This wine was crafted to remain as close to the land as possible. The grapes are carefully handled and gently pressed before being aged in 30% new French oak for eight months. This red wine would pair nicely with roast pheasant with cherry and almond chutney.
