The Sokol Blosser Big Tree Rock Pinot Noir 2012 is a sumptuous, earthy red wine with loads of dark fruit flavor. Fragrant notes of fresh blueberries, pie cherries, nutmeg, coriander, and white pepper fill the nose. On tasting, the palate is lush and nicely structured. The predominant impression is of shady forest floor and damp leaves. Ripe fruits and crushed berries linger in the background with notes of orange peel. The tannins are round and the finish lingers.
Enjoy this red wine now, or let it mature in the cellar.
