“The MacPhail Wightman House Pinot Noir 2013 is a very aromatic red wine, showing bright cherry and raspberry balanced with floral notes and hints of rose petal. ‘Smooth’ is the word here, with sour cherry flavors and white pepper spice in a medium-bodied wine, which is not always the case with Wightman House. Classic Anderson Valley crisp acid lives at the mid-palate, but is luscious and lingering. This red wine is a sexy glass that sets the tongue a-tingling. This will make all the sense in the world once you raise the glass.”
