"The MacPhail ‘The Flyer’ Pinot Noir 2012 shows aromas and flavors of raspberry, framboise (and doesn’t that put you in a party mood?), rich black plums, and an array of dark, black fruits topped off with bright cherry. Notes of white pepper and clove lead to a weighty, full-bodied, wonderfully textured wine with exceptional balance. No shrinking violet here. This red wine is powerful, maybe a bit pouty, but one you’re going to want to fly with, First Class all the way.”
