“Big, bold, and always evolving, the MacPhail Sundawg Ridge Pinot Noir 2012 shows spice and a characteristic earthiness, rich in fruits led by wild cherry and offset by black cherry. There’s a smoky side that makes me yearn to demonstrate how to pair Pinot Noir & ‘Cue, and the tannins are supple and lingering, lasting well into the night, which a glass of this rarely does. It’s that pleasing. I just can’t resist saying it: this dawg is definitely in the hunt, and in fact, runs right on ahead. One notable critic said it best – strikingly good.”
