“The MacPhail Rose Rock Vineyard Pinot Noir 2012 is a delicate red wine that is elegant and shady, in a very good way. The color is lush with shades of violet. Floral aromas of lavender, violets, and rose petals form a nosy potpourri that is accented with dried alpine herbs. Fine grained tannins, light to medium as you taste, are both a bit austere and approachable. The expected lighter touch with alcohol reinforces the stand-alone personality of this wine when compared with those crafted from California.”
