The Artesa Carneros Pinot Noir 2012 is a classic red wine with bright fruit flavors and an enjoyable complexity. The 2012 growing season was ideal. The delayed thaw and long, mild spring and summer allowed grapes to grow evenly and ripen fully. The wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks and then aged in French oak for nine months prior to bottling. Expect aromas of bright red fruit and flavors of bright strawberry and cherry. Notes of toasty oak and caramel provide nuance. This wine has a medium body and a long finish.
