The Beaucanon Cuvee Louis Merlot 2011 is an elegant and fruity red wine. Deep ruby red in the glass, the nose shows lifted aromas of red cherry, raspberry, rosemary, and licorice. A hint of toasty vanilla leads into the rich and flavorful palate. Notes of red and black fruit, dark chocolate, and warm spice mingle on the tongue. This wine is nicely balanced, with a lingering finish.
The grapes for this red wine were organically farmed in Napa Valley. The fruit was picked by hand and fermented in open barrels.
