The Cakebread Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 artfully balances rich fruit flavor with excellent structure. Aromas of dark berry, boysenberry, blackcurrant, and black figs abound on the nose. Accents of dark chocolate and toasty oak add intriguing complexity. The palate is excellently structured, with a round mouthfeel and nicely integrated tannins. The flavors in this wine include the whole of a California orchard, with notes of blackberry, currant, fresh cherry, and boysenberry. This lovely red wine is excellent now and will continue to improve with age, up to 7-10 years.
