The Williams Selyem Papera Vineyard Zinfandel 2014 brims with complex flavor. The nose is a wonderful mélange of loganberry, boysenberry, India ink, and anise. Herbaceous notes of fennel and underbrush provide a unique savory fragrance. The palate is rich and dark, as you would expect from this varietal. The racy acidity makes this red wine come alive, as do the flavors of blackberry cobbler, blood orange peel, anise, and cocoa. The tannins are strong, but they meld well into the body of the wine. This wine will age well and is best enjoyed from 2016-2024.
