The Quivira Black Boar Zinfandel 2013 is a bold, expressive red wine that displays all of the rich flavor and full body you would expect from the best Zinfandels. The winemaker states that the goal of the vintage is, “to explore the reaches of the Dry Creek Valley,” by searching for the richest fruit, while maintaining the balance necessary for an excellent bottle. The wine has intense aromas of sweet blackberries, which lead into flavors of dark cherry and blackberry preserves. The palate is round and elegantly textured, with classic Dry Creek notes of baking spice and black pepper.
