The Stonecroft Reserve Syrah 2014 is an artfully blended red wine, produced from the 8 best Syrah barrels of the vintage. A dense ruby color in the glass, the nose shows brooding aromas of black fruits, sweet spice, and anise. On tasting, the wine is full-bodied and intensely flavored, with fine grained tannins. Vivid black fruits characterize the palate and lead into a long, smooth finish. This wine is enjoyable now, but it will reward those with the patience to cellar it for a few more years.
