The Patland Proprietary Red 2013 is a luscious blend of tart fruit flavor and savory spices. This red blend is a combination of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Malbec, and Merlot. These bold red wines combine for a vintage that is powerful and yet nicely balanced. Aromas of black cherry, anise, black pepper, mocha, sage, boysenberry, cigar spice, leather, and caramelized new French oak abound. The palate is full and luxurious, with blackberry, tobacco, cedar spice, raspberry, dried sage, and integrated toasty oak and creamy chocolate. The finish is persistent, deep, and elegant.
