The Robert Hall Merlot 2013 is a lovely balance of rich color and aroma. The wine is an opulent, deep red in the glass. Aromas of lush black cherry and notes of cedar meld in an enticing bouquet. The palate is full of more black cherry, with silky tannins on the finish. This lush red wine is the result of a difficult 2013 vintage, which nonetheless produced mature and perfectly sized fruit yield. The grapes were harvested in mid-September, macerated for 8 days, and then aged for 18 months to achieve premium richness and complexity.
