“The Thorn-Clarke William Randall Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 is rich and elegant red wine. On release, the wine is deep red in color, with a red and purple hue. The wine is lifted and varietal. Lifted cassis with leafy undertones, spice, and coffee add to the wine’s complexity. This Cab is elegant, with silky long tannins and a good acid backbone. Red currant and cassis are evident as primary fruit characters through the palate. Subtle French oak characters of cinnamon, cream, and hints of tobacco add to the palate structure. The wine’s tannins are evident, but supple. The wine has long persistence on the palate.”
