The Patland "Select Barrel Reserve" Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 is a magnificently dark and rich red wine that maintains a sweet and toasty balance of flavors. Inky garnet in the glass, aromas of cassis, dried cherry, dark chocolate, leather, anise, white pepper, and sage waft up to the nose. This enticing bouquet introduces the palate, which is luxurious. The flavors on the palate include mixed berry, sage, toffee, integrated toasty oak, plum, and baker’s chocolate. The finish is long and elegant. This wine is the fourth release of Patland Reserve Cabernet and should age nicely through 2035.
