The Shooting Star Barbera 2013 is an excellent red wine that will be welcome at any dinner table. It pairs especially well with roasted pork, sausage and lentils, mushroom and blue cheese burgers, or crispy pizza. Barbera wine is commonly produced in Italy, but it has been grown and cultivated in California for over 100 years. The grapes for this vintage were carefully harvested after a warm growing season and a good harvest. They were then barrel aged for 9 months in American and Hungarian oak.
